Top Struggling Industries in Canada Amidst the Pandemic

2020 started a bit rocky and continued to be one of the most challenging years of our lives. We’ve seen a lot of our fellow indie filmmakers and music producers cease their projects due to the pandemic.

It is not only Canada but globally, casinos all over shut down. Here in Canada, gambling survived through online gambling. It was recently reported that online poker around the globe reached a record high.

Most online casino operators, particularly Playamo casino online are maximizing their platform to remedy the situation. We’ve seen a lot of casino executives invest a lot in technology to transfer their operations from the casino floor to the online world.

After publishing a couple of blog entries related to online gambling, we’ve found out that many of our readers picked up online gambling as a hobby during this crisis.

With the vaccine still a long way to go, casinos in Canada are thinking of new ways to approach their operations under the Covid-19 crisis. In Northern Ontario, casinos are hoping to re-open but recovery is going to be a big struggle during and even after the pandemic.

Billions of investments in Canada’s film industry this year are not down the drain entirely. In Alberta, movie theatres and other entertainment attraction venues are starting to reopen. However, the operation will not be at 100% given that there are still health protocols needed to be observed, mainly social distancing.

Distribution for indie films is also getting a lot of attention. Funding might soon come up, especially for anticipated projects for 2020. The same can’t be said for the music industry though in Canada.

Earlier in April, the music industry asked support from the Federal Government for urgent relief. There are still no updates on the matter.

The film industry has been struggling ever since 2020 started. But there are already significant improvements compared to April and May. Stay in the loop with more updates, subscribe to our blog today.
